Visit of the service users of Baghdati Day Care Center for Children with Disabilities “Dimna”and the Day Care Center for Persons with Disabilities “Altera” to Nika Nergadze’s workshop

The service users of Baghdati Day Care Center for Children with Disabilities “Dimna” and Day Care Center for Persons with Disabilities “Altera” visited the workshop of a local craftsman, Nika Nergadze, where they learned about the interesting process of woodworking and creating handmade items.

During the visit, Nika shared his experience with the participants, taught them how to make wooden vases on-site, showed them his crafted works, and, most importantly, provided them with the necessary materials for further practice.

Such practical activities significantly contribute to the development of professional skills, acquisition of work experience, and enhancement of independence for persons with disabilities. A real working environment is a great way for them to discover new skills and strengthen belief in their own abilities.

Many thanks to Nika Nergadze for his warm hospitality and this valuable experience! If you are interested in high-quality handmade wooden items, be sure to visit Nika and support a local craftsman.
