Sofio was born in Kutaisi. After graduation, she continued her studies at Akaki Tsereteli State University, at the faculty of international relations, after that, she got a master’s degree in political science at the National University of East Ukraine named after Vladimir Dahl in Ukraine.

In addition to academic education, she participated in a number of training, seminars and educational programs for improving qualifications, both in Georgia and abroad.

Her working experience began in 2012 as an intern at the Education Development and Employment Center. Sofio has been involved in a number of projects, therefore, she has many years of project coordination and management experience. Since 2020, she has been the manager of the child protection program of the Education Development and Employment Center. Sofio’s work experience is mainly related to the economic and legal empowerment of persons with disabilities.

Sofia has been the Executive Director of A(a)IP Habitat for Equality Achievements and Development since May 2022.
