Ambassador of Japan to Georgia Visits “Altera” Social Inclusion Center

Today, the Ambassador of Japan to Georgia, Hideki Ishizuka, visited the “Altera”
Social Inclusion Center to celebrate its first working day alongside the children and
individuals who utilize the services of the center.
The new social inclusion center for children and adults with disabilities in the
Baghdati Municipality was established with the financial support of the Government
of Japan “Human Security Grant Program” (GGP) and in cooperation with the local
Municipal Mayor’s Office. This initiative will contribute to increasing the
accessibility of essential services and strengthening support for children and
individuals with disabilities.
Along with representatives of the local self-government, the meeting was attended
by the Mayor of Baghdati Municipality, Nodar Giorgidze, Deputy Mayor Revaz
Kiknavelidze, and the Chairman of the Municipal Council, Guram Kiknavelidze.
The guests toured the infrastructure of the center and learned about its operational
specifics, planned programs, and the opportunities that this new space will offer to
children and individuals with disabilities living in the municipality.
At the end of the visit, as a symbol of mutual friendship and successful cooperation,
the parties exchanged commemorative gifts and reaffirmed their shared vision – to
work together towards creating a more inclusive, equal, and supportive society for
every individual.
The organization “Habitat for Equality Achievements and Development” expresses
its gratitude to the Embassy of Japan in Georgia and the Japanese people for their
support!
