Visit of the honorable International Women Association Georgia

On the 13th October, HEAD had the great honor and pleasure to welcome representatives of the International Women Association Georgia (IWAG) at the Day Care and Therapy Centre for children with disabilities in Baghdati. Through the highly appreciated support of IWA (https://iwa.ge/) in cooperation with EDEC (https://edec.ge/) the arrangement of a sensory integration room for children with disabilities could be realized and therewith contribute to a healthy, sustainable and up-to-date daily care, learning and therapy environment in this municipality. Sofio Kupatadze, the CEO of HEAD, showed them around the facility including different rooms for specific use like therapy, group activities or individual care and of course with the main focus on the sensory room. This room is equipped with different stimulating and therapy-orientated material and helps to improve the emotional and mental well-being of the children in the age from 6 to 18 years. As a result, the quality of rehabilitation services provided by the Day Care Center increased and offers chances for a more independent life of the children with disabilities. We want to thank once again IWAG and all their members and donors for their great support and highly valued cooperation, without this project wouldn’t have been possible.
