International Epilepsy Day is celebrated every year on the second Monday of February, and people in more than 120 countries around the world come together to help people with epilepsy and their families. Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological disorders, the diagnosis and treatment of which requires a specific methodology. For the success of epilepsy treatment, it is important not only to make a correct diagnosis and treatment, but also to inform the patient and society.
This year, in connection with the International Day of Epilepsy, an informational meeting was held with the beneficiaries of the Yaloni Day Center for Children and Persons with Disabilities in Saguramo in order to raise the awareness of epilepsy. At the end of the meeting, the beneficiaries made and customized badges as a sign of solidarity.
Such events help to reduce stigma and stereotypes in society and create an inclusive and healthy environment for the realization of equal opportunities and rights.
