Habitat for Equality, Achievement and Development is a local non-governmental organization established by the Center for Education Development and Employment on May 16, 2022, whose mission is to realize equal opportunities and rights for children and adults, support their social and economic inclusion, create a healthy environment for independent living, meet the needs and Development of services tailored to interests.
At the current stage, the organization administers Day Care Centers for disabled children in Kutaisi, Samtredia and Terjola, as well as speech therapy centers in Kutaisi and Zugdidi. From 2023, the organization will open two more Day Care Centers in Baghdati Municipality. Along with maintaining the high quality of service delivery, Habitat for Equality, Achievement and Development will offer a number of interesting projects and necessary services to target groups in the future.
Staff selection will be carried out in three stages: selection of received documents; Interviews with successful candidates and, if necessary, professional training by “The Coalition for Early Childhood Development” organization with online training.
“Coalition for early development of Children” professional training (theoretical/practical course) costs 1500 GEL, duration of training is 3 months. Terms of course fee payment will be agreed upon individually with each selected candidate. In the case of retraining, the organization ensures the employment of the candidate.
The remuneration for the mentioned position is constantly increasing in accordance with the increase in qualifications.
Main responsibilities:
- Assessing child and family strengths and needs using a curriculum-based assessment tool;
- Writing a post-assessment individual development/service plan;
- implementation of written individual development/service plan;
- Consulting parents or other necessary institutions and making appropriate recommendations;
- promotion of inclusion in inclusive preschool or school education;
- Facilitating inclusion in age- and need-appropriate services in the community;
- If necessary, participating in the development of the first individual development/service plan by the new institution;
- Participation in individual and/or group work/meetings;
- Parental education, promoting the development of various skills, including behavior management and communication skills;
- Performance of various tasks related to the activity;
- Production of documentation; Involvement in the continuous learning process.
Qualification requirements:
- Higher education in psychology/pedagogy or elementary education or related field;
- At least 1 year of experience working with children;
- knowledge of computer office programs;
- High responsibility and conscientious attitude to work;
